History students and enthusiasts will get a kick out of using Centennia Historical Atlas. There are several reasons why this application will put a smile on their faces: it features a map that you can easily explore, it covers every major war and territorial conflict from the 11th century onward, it allows you to jump to a specific date, and more.

Centennia Historical Atlas is available for Apple’s Mac OS X and for Microsoft’s Windows operating systems. Putting the spotlight on Windows, it must be mentioned that Centennia Historical Atlas can be installed on Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, and older Windows editions. To install the application, you must download an archive, extract and run the executable inside, then follow the instructions presented by the setup wizard.

The application’s interface is made up of two windows. The one to the left displays an interactive map; you can navigate, zoom in/out, and more, all with the greatest of ease. The window to the right presents information on historical events.

As mentioned above, this application covers every major war and territorial conflict from the 11th century onward. This means it covers the rise and fall of the Ottoman Empire, the Hundred Years War, the Mongol invasions, the Napoleonic Wars, the Unification of Italy and Germany, the First World War, the Rise of Nazi Germany, the Arab-Israeli wars, the collapse of the USSR, and more.
